The Buccaneers nullified their opponents in a clash at the Stade Alphonse Massamba-Debat in the Republic of the Congo and will now fancy their chances in the return leg back in South Africa.
Speaking after the final whistle, Ncikazi said he was satisfied with his side's result after a tough away trip.
"Based on the conditions that we faced in Congo Brazzaville let's take the point," Ncikazi said post-match.
"Let's take the performance of the players, the conditions, the artificial turf and how the opponents treated us.
"But the determination and character of our players one has to appreciate.
"Let's take the point, we're not done yet but remember that if they score at our home again there's a problem.
"But I think we have the capacity to beat this opponent when we play at home.
"I'm happy with the performance today and the application of the players."
