Magesi booked their spot in the semi-finals of the Carling Knockout for the first time in their history after a narrow 1-0 win over TS Galaxy on Sunday afternoon.
Galaxy were boosted by the return from suspension of strikers Victor Letsoalo Letsoalo and Dzenan Zajmovic alongside recalls for Marks Munyai and Nhlanhla Mgaga, as four flanges from defeat against Orlando Pirates.
Magesi, meanwhile, were unchanged following their draw against Kaizer Chiefs, as Wonderboy Makhubu continued to lead the line, supported by Edmore Chirambadare, Tshepo Kakora and Tholang Mashigo.
The Rockets were forceful in the early exchanges but were not accurate enough, until midway into the first stanza after Zajmovic forced a save out of shot-stopper Elvis Chipezeze.
Galaxy continued to threaten as MacBeth Mahlangu and Zajmovic had efforts smothered by Chipezeze with half-time approaching.
However, Clinton Larsen's charges broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time from their first attack after Lehlogonolo Mokone pounced on a ball from close-range following a set-piece situation.
Sead Ramovic's troops struggled to create chances early in the second stanza and on the hour-mark, Ramovic brought on Puso Dithejane in place of Zajmovic to lift up their game.
The hosts pressurized Dikwena after that and with 20 minutes to go, Thokozani Sibanyoni almost levelled matters with a strike in the box that missed narrowly wide.
The Rockets made a tactical change five minutes later as Mlungisi Mbunjana came on for Letsoalo.
Mbunjana almost made an immediate impact for Galaxy as he had a chance to equalise with a header in the box that sailed over the crossbar.
The Rockets pinned Larsen's men in their own half and Mgaga also had a chance five minutes before time with a header from close range that was saved by Chipezeze.
Magesi held on in the end and booked their spot in the semi-finals for the first time in their history.
