7 famous football brothers in Europe

With a growing list of brothers who ply their trade in some of Europe's biggest leagues, here's a look at some of the most notable siblings in the game.

The story

Making it as a top-flight footballer is an achievement on its own, but having a younger sibling who has also made it as a professional certainly brings pride to the family. An example of this phenomenon, if we may say, are brothers Theo and Lucas Hernandez, who play for AC Milan and Bayern Munich, respectively.

Admittedly, this isn't something that is uncommon in the sport as Africans will be familiar with Jerome and Kevin-Prince Boateng, who even played for different national teams, namely Germany and Ghana.

Now, there is a new crop of talent, including the Bellingham duo, Jude and Jobe. Aged just 18, the latter is one of the most sought-after talents as he has heavily impressed for his club Borussia Dortmund, while also breaking through in the England national team. His 16-year-old brother plays for Birmingham City in the English second tier.

AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham has a younger brother named Timmy, who was with the Fulham academy star. Other inclusions are the Willock, Thuram, Dembele, and Sessegnon brothers, whom all have at least one sibling playing in a top-flight division.

Did you know?

The aforementioned Hernandez brothers are the only siblings included on this list who both play for the senior national team as they are both regulars for the reigning world champions France.

Your thoughts, please?

Which other siblings can you think of?
