Adidas Primeknit makes a return

Since Luis Suarez first rocked the original Samba Primeknit boot in 2014, adidas have been working on an enhanced version for 2015, which brings together to key recent brand innovations i.e. the original Samba Primeknit boot, and the Primeknit FS (Footy Sock) prototype.

Using insights gained from the ‘Samba’ and ‘FS‘ prototypes, the 2.0 offering includes ‘compression fit’ technology made from lycra threads which wrap around the foot area like glue for comfort and security.

The control knit structure of the boot is designed specifically to aid ball control as well as providing easy manoeuvring and traction.

You’d be forgiven to question a knitted boot’s ability to withstand the rigours of the game with its seemingly fragile appearance, however adidas have that covered. It’s knitted outer shell has a lightweight coated skin which protects the threads and retains its soft surface – making it suitable for use come rain or shine on any pitch.

The Primeknit 2.0 is part of adidas’ "Limited Collection" with only 10 000 pairs available globally and available for purchase from tomorrow at selected adidas stores.
