How did this happen?
It was only four years ago that the 30-year-old was playing for Middlesbrough in the EFL Championship and today the player can retire if he pleases and live a life of leisure.
Lord Braithwaite's rise from rags to riches all started with a leap of faith in 2017 when he invested in the United States of America's real estate market committing R12.1 million into the startup business that he owns with his uncle, Philip Michael.

How big is the company?
A few months later the business was worth R142 million and now it is 25 times the size it was with a reported value of R3.5 billion. Braithwaite and Michael own 1,500 apartments and have another 500 currently developing as they allegedly attempted to provide affordable housing in historically black neighborhoods in Philadelphia and New Jersey.
Did you know?
This is not the only business the Barcelona star owns. He has a clothing brand named 'Trente' that he shares with his wife, which had success in France, and a restaurant called 'Gave' in Barcelona.
Thoughts, please?
