Itumeleng Khune hard work pays off!

Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has taken to Instagram to show that his hard work is paying off. Check it out!

What Happened?

With the legendary goalkeeper getting the armband, there was an assumption that this would see the star restored as the club's number one for their season opener against Royal AM on Saturday, however, Khune was not even named on the bench.

Despite this, the legend still appears to be in good spirits as his latest fully focused lifestyle of late is seeing him reap the benefits.

Khune has recently been spotted doing a lot of extra work in his home gym, which is nothing new for the veteran who has always displayed a competitive work ethic. This has allowed him to play at the highest level at the age of 35.

In a recent post on Instagram, the baller showed himself looking in peak condition on the scale before he weighed himself. The star captioned the post with "we keep pushing Ngewnya".

Elsewhere, Khune has taken the responsibility of being a leading figure in the 2022/23 campaign and he started off this task by bringing the goalkeepers together to ensure that there is unity despite them competing for the number one role.

Did you know?

According to Transfermarkt, the 35-year-old made zero league appearances in 2021/22 season. Perhaps shockingly, the only game he played for Amakhosi's last campaign came in the MTN8.

Your thoughts, please?

What do you think of Khune's journey to peak fitness?
