WATCH: Yeye the tactician finally unleashed!

With Kaizer Chiefs legend Reneilwe Letsholonyane having been appointed as one of the youth coaches at AmaZulu, here are some glimpses of what Yeye brings to the club's academy.

The story

The retired midfielder was one of several appointments announced by AmaZulu on Thursday, as he was confirmed to be a part of the side's Project 2023 Youth Programme, alongside Mbulelo Mabizela, among others. OJ will serve as the u13s assistant coach, while Yeye will take charge of the U17s .

The former midfielder retired in 2021 aged 39 and he immediately took up coaching following his decorated playing career. In 2022, he attained his CAF B coaching license while he was also in charge of his own team called Pimville Young Stars, which plays in the SAB League under the SAFA Johannesburg region.

However, for those who have followed the player's career after he retired, this comes as no surprise as the former Jomo Cosmos maestro has been putting in the work on the training ground with some young talent.

Speaking after his appointment at Usuthu, Letsholonyane said: "I'm very happy to be a part of the club now, this is a great opportunity for me to start afresh without anyone telling me who to play and who to pick, so this definitely a chance for me to start my career away from Joburg," per IOL.

"I look forward to making myself better as a coach and also grooming better players on this side of the country.

He also urged other clubs outside the likes of Amakhosi, Mamelodi Sundowns, and SuperSport United, to invest in developing the youth.

"Teams need to start investing money, time and resources into development structures, it is one of few things every club should be doing because running a development programme is very expensive," he added

"Roping in proper coaches and acquiring equipment is very expensive, I think teams like those mentioned (Chiefs, Sundowns and SuperSport) have that sort of financial muscle and it shows in the success of their academies."
