Kaizer Chiefs dropped out of the top eight in the Betway Premiership following a 2-1 loss to Marumo Gallants at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Chiefs made four changes from the line-up that started against Chippa United as Happy Mashiane, Mduduzi Shabalala, Glodly Lilepo and Ashley Du Preez all returned to the starting line-up.
Lilepo got the opener in the tenth minute after cutting in from the left flank and firing into the top corner with a powerful strike from around 20 yards.
Gallants looked to draw level four minutes later, but saw goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma produce a solid save to deny Daniel Msendami's header.
The Soweto giants pushed for a second goal ahead of the half-hour mark with a powerful effort from outside the six-yard area by Dillon Solomons, but Gallants goalkeeper Washington Arubi was able to make the save.
However, Bahlabane Ba Ntwa were back level four minutes to halftime when Matome Mathiane guided a rebound into the bottom corner after Bvuma saved Msendami's initial effort.
