'We saw the quality those three bring...' - Chiefs' signings impress

Kaizer Chiefs defender Dillan Solomons has issued his assessment of new teammates Thabo Cele, Tashreeq Morris and Glody Lilepo.

Amakhosi strengthened the squad with three new additions in the January transfer window as Nabi looks to make a push for a top-four spot after a less-than-impressive start to the season.

With Chiefs rocked by somewhat of an injury crisis, The trio have slotted straight into the starting eleven and Lilepo has made the most of his chances, scoring three goals from his four appearances.

Speaking to media at the Nedbank quarter-final draw, Solomons revealed from a teammate's perspective, what the trio of signings has added to the Amakhosi squad.

"We saw the quality of those three players in the last three matches," the speedy wingback said.

"They bring a different type of play to us. Like Tashreeq, he brings a different style and he is a pressing machine as they call him.

"And Thabo [Cele] just bring control. Obviously, Lilepo is very direct. He is not someone who will buzz around you, he will go direct and will take on players.

"So hopefully it will help us in the long run, not just now, because now it is easy to adapt and show your quality but in the long run hopefully they will keep the consistency there and it will help us."

Kick-off is at 15:00.
