Chiefs, the most ill-disciplined technical team so far?

Kaizer Chiefs' new technical team appears to be getting frustrated by the officiating in the PSL and so, as things stand, is Nasreddine Nabi and his staff the most ill-disciplined across all the tacticians on the bench so far?

Amakhosi' new technical staff have certainly brought a competitive edge and spirit, not only to the club but to the game as a whole, after they showed commitment to their craft with devices on the bench in a 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns, something that was new to the Gold and Black technical area.

The new brains trusts at the club could not hide their frustrations in that game, as they vehemently remonstrated with the referee after they claimed Iqraam Rayners' winning goal should not have stood, after watching replays on their devices, as one member was ordered to leave the bench and remove the technology.

Nabi and his lieutenants were at it again over the weekend after they protested that they should have got a penalty against SuperSport United, from a challenge by Bilal Baloyi in the box on Edson Castillo, who had to be substituted with an Achilles injury.

Post-match, Amakhosi seemingly justified the actions by Nabi and his entourage after Castillo was ruled out of action for up to five months.

"In the aftermath of the tackle, our head coach, Nasreddine Nabi expressed his concern for player safety and was subsequently issued with a yellow card for his impassioned plea to the officials to prioritise the protection of the players," Chiefs said in a statement that revealed the extent of the Venezuelan's injury, described as "a fractured fibula".

Currently in the PSL (ill) discipline books, Chiefs have the most technical members with at least one yellow card, three, as Nabi, Ilyes Mzoughi (goalkeeper coach) and Khalil Ben Youseff (first assistant coach) all carry official cautions.

They are followed by Mamelodi Sundowns, who have both assistant coach Steve Komphela and senior coach Romain Folz sitting on one yellow apiece.

However, insofar as the individual naughty coaches on the bench are concerned, SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt is leading the way after he was already sent off in an MTN8 quarter-final against Orlando Pirates in early August and missed two games.

Hunt is followed by Bucs tactician Jose Riveiro, who is one yellow card away from receiving a match ban, as he currently sits on three yellow cards.

TS Galaxy boss Sead Ramovic has continued to be one of the ill-disciplined coaches this season, with two yellow cards already to his name.

Not surprisingly, for his calm nature on the bench, The Brazilians' Manqoba Mngqithi is yet to be booked this season.
