Where Are They Now - Bryan Parry

In this week's edition of Where Are They Now we find out where former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bryan Parry disappeared to.

Parry kept goals for Chiefs and Cosmos in the early nineties.

"I played for Jomo Cosmos, at Giant Blackpool my teammates were John Moshoeu and Gavin Lane, and also played for that white team that had Shane MacGregor [Rangers]," Parry tells KickOff from the United Kingdom.

"I went to Chiefs on-loan from Cosmos when Gary Bailey got injured. I went there from Cosmos, Jeff Butler was the coach.

"My salary at Chiefs was between R2000 and R3000 per month.

"I can say it was not bad for those days. It was a fair salary at the time.

"I won the Golden Net Award in 1990 [Goalkeeper Of The Year], playing for Cosmos under Roy Matthews.

"Chiefs was always a top club, always expected to win. Lot of pressure.

"I don't remember how many cups I won in South Africa, but I think they were two or three.

"From Chiefs I went back to Cosmos where I finished my career.

"I played my last games for Cosmos in the Africa Cup.

"Business opportunity in the UK made me leave SA. I arrived in South Africa from UK in 1983 after I was offered a job on a company called 600 Manufacturing Machinery Sale. They are a UK based company.

"Even today I'm still in machine sales, packaging machinery."
