Betway seal another major partnership days after R900m PSL deal

With Betway being the new title sponsor of the PSL, it has now been confirmed that the global betting company has also partnered with one of Europe's biggest clubs on Friday. Here's a look!

The story

Following weeks of uncertainty around the title sponsor of the PSL after DStv decided to pull the plug on the agreement, Betway was announced as the new headline sponsor of the South African top-flight in a deal worth R900 million for three years.

The sports betting and gaming giant have now extended their footprint on global football, as they have signed a partnership with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

"As a globally recognised brand, Betway has a strong pedigree and history of working with high-profile brands within the sports space and we're excited to work together throughout the partnership."

Super Group CEO, Neal Menashe, commented: "We are absolutely delighted to become Manchester City's Official Global Betting Partner. This agreement cements our place in the top tier of Premier League partners, ensuring that our Betway brand reaches fans in all corners of the globe."

Throughout the duration of the relationship, the Citizens and Betway are set to collaborate on activations and exclusive content opportunities. Moreover, the Betway brand will appear across City's digital and in-stadium assets.

Coaches, players, and staff will also receive training on the relevant betting codes of conduct.
