The excitement surrounding the club has reached new heights following the jaw-dropping sale of a signed jersey at an exclusive event in Harare.
Earlier this year, Billiat was heavily linked with a return to South Africa, but those rumours were put to rest when he officially joined the newly-promoted side.
According to reports from iHarare, the auction took place during an exclusive kit unveiling ceremony and dinner, where passionate supporters and stakeholders were eager to get their hands on a special piece of memorabilia.
The bidding war began with an opening offer of $20 000 (around R369 341), which quickly escalated to $30 000 (R554 011) and then $40 000 (R738 682). The stakes were then raised even further with a bid of $60 000 (R1.1 million), throwing in a double cab vehicle in an attempt to sweeten the deal.
However, it was a company called IMC Communications that ultimately secured the prized jersey with a staggering bid of $250 000 (R4.6 million).
Following the purchase, IMC Communications Managing Director Denny Marandure chose to donate the jersey to Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) Commander Lieutenant General Anselem Nhamp Sanyatwe.

Despite the record-breaking sale, the reaction has been mixed, with some Zimbabwean football fans expressing disbelief over the hefty price tag paid for the jersey.
