Kaizer Chiefs star Given Msimango now looks to have paid the lobola for his long-term partner, as the defender appears to be heading into the 2024/25 season as a married man. Here's a look!
The story
The centre-back has had a tumultuous debut campaign at Naturena following his move from TS Galaxy, as Amakhosi endured their worst-ever season in recent memory, ending the 2023/23 DStv Premiership season in 10th.
Although part of a struggling side, Msimango was one of the bright sparks in the team and arguably the club's best signing in recent seasons. Last term, he registered the most league minutes in the Chiefs squad and he was the only player in the team to play more than 2000 minutes, according to Transfermarkt.

A few call-ups for Bafana Bafana over the last year have also been an encouraging sign, however, the 26-year-old seems to have saved his best act for last.
Earlier this week, he subtly revealed that he was tying the knot with his partner Bontle Makgalo. In a few words, he posted an image with Makgalo on Instagram, captioned: "A promise fulfilled" - which was followed by an emoji of a cow and a ring, suggesting lobola has been settled.
Makgalo appeared to confirm their romantic union, writing on her own Instagram: "01-06-2024, a promise kept.
"Our love story is one of unwavering devotion. You have shown me the purest form of love, a love that inspires me to be the best version of myself. And I couldn't ask for a more beautiful love story to be a part of.
"Thank you for being my soft landing, my safe haven and my partner in every sense of the word.
"Here's to a lifetime of love, my FOREVER."
The couple also celebrated their five-year anniversary in February this year, with their romance dating back to when Msimango was on the books of Highlands Park.
