South African legend Benni McCarthy has revealed why he no longer sees his former manager, Jose Mourinho, in the same light as he did when they won the UEFA Champions League together.
The story
McCarthy's admiration for Mourinho has been well documented, with the former striker often speaking highly of the Portuguese tactician.

He enjoyed more success under Mourinho than with any other coach, scoring 37 goals in 58 matches for FC Porto under his guidance, according to Transfermarkt.
Now head coach of the Kenyan national team, McCarthy won several trophies with Mourinho, most notably the UEFA Champions League in 2004.
However, it now appears that McCarthy is no longer as enamoured with his former boss.
According to Kenyan reports, McCarthy recently admitted in an interview that his view of Mourinho has changed.
“My spell under Jose Mourinho was just everything I wanted to do as a coach. The kind of coach I wanted to become was the model that I had when I played under him at Porto," Benni McCarthy said in an interview with Smash Sports.
"Now, I don’t know what he’s become…I don’t see him the way I did when I played for him.
"I was with him every day and interacting with him, and now I don’t know if he is changed because you hear now so many things, he fights with so many players.
"In my time, he never fought with anyone."
