LALIGA offers 90 aspiring stars world-class coaching

90 aspiring South African footballers have just been presented with world-class coaching and training by one of Europe's top five leagues!

The story

Spanish top-flight hosted a three-day football camp in Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal from 1 to 3 October. 90 participants have been a part of this development intitiative, with 45 boys and 45 girls directly benefitting from the extensive knowledge of two LALIGA coaches who possess UEFA Pro licenses. 

The camp is now onto it's second edition in KZN, as it's inaguaral event in the province was previously held in Durban back in March and April this year.

With the youngsters having been equipped with expert football development and training, LALIGA Africa's new managing director Tresor Penku stressed the importance of the relationship between local communities and the Spanish league.

In a statement presented to KickOff, Penki said: "We are thrilled to bring the LALIGA experience to Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. LALIGAis committed to nurturing football talent worldwide, and this camp is a testament to ourdedication to developing the sport in South Africa.

"We believe this event will inspire the next generation of football stars and strengthen the football community in the region."

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba, also welcomed the hosting of the camp,stating that: "We are honored to collaborate with LALIGA on this initiative.

"Football is a passion that unitespeople, and we are excited to witness the positive impact this camp will have on our local community. It's a great opportunity for our youth to learn from the best and develop their skills."

The camp also featured 12 local coaches, comprising six men and six women.
