KO Comments

Pitso Mosimane added to his impressive trophy cabinet after guiding Al Ahli Saudi to an historic title in a dramatic chase with second-place Al-Hazm.

Al Ahli earned a narrow 1-0 win and needed their rivals to drop points to secure the title. Al-Hazm went down 3-2 to Al-Akhdoud, seeing Mosimane clinching two of his main objectives when he joined the sleeping Saudi Giants.

Jingles arrived at the club in September, guiding them from the mid-table to the top with record of 19 wins, six draws and only three defeats in the successful promotion push back to the Saudi Pro League where they'll face Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr side.

Mosimane has now won a trophy with every club he's worked for, from SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Pitso Mosimane lifts HISTORIC league title in Saudi Arabia" story:

"Congratulations to him but I think its time for him to come back home. Those people are so impatient," says Clever Boys.

"SA is proud of you Pitso, except those that insulted you when you came to Attridgeville with Ahl Ahly. We all know who they are !!" user853624.

"Congratulation Jingles. The country is proud of you," says tekhens.

"Congratulations Mr. Mosimane. Wishing you greater success in your next large project. I trust that the entirety of Africa, particularly SADC is rooting behind you. Once and always," says Isenkge.

"Chelsea or Spurs are waiting for you Mr. Jingles, or even that greot kop Vincent Kompany can take you as his 1st assistant coach then in the second season, you can get your own new team in the EPL," says truthngezana1.

"Sir Pitso, thank you for flying the flag," says Fela.

"And a team that finished 5th is dreaming of bringing Pitso back to the PSL, what a joke," says Eduardo Dos Santos.

Read: New faces, Chiefs snubbed as Broos names Bafana squad

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos announced his squad for their last AFCON qualifier against Morocco next month at the FNB Stadium.

Both Bafana and Morocco have qualified for next year's AFCON in the Ivory Coast, with this game being a mere dead rubber, as Broos surprised with some fresh faces to the squad.

Given Msimango, Bathusi Aubaas, and Pule Mmodi all earned call-ups with zero Kaizer Chiefs players picked for the prelim squad that'll be trimmed down to 23-players in the days leading up to the match.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "New faces, Chiefs snubbed as Broos names Bafana squad" story:

"This shows how Arthur Zwane KILLED Kaizer Chiefs' players, they used to be nominated to play in the national team." says peter95157.

"Yusuf Maart and Du Preez deserved a call up if the latter was not injured. It is not like Chiefs players did not play well hence they ended up in the 5th position.

"Only their coach Arthur Zwane was the weakest link in the Chiefs team. Maart is far better than Miguel Timm. I mean Broos called up the 35-year-old Morena. Kekana and Mvala, is it because they play for Sundowns?" says lufuno.mulaudzi.

"Style of play will count. Even a relegated Marumo Gallants were bullying these teams with a South African playing style until they were stopped by a SADC team," says winterv.me.

"No coach in his right mind can select Kaizer Chiefs players," says Saavedra.

"I totally and unequivocally disagree with the selection of Mothobi Maguire or Harry Mvala of Mamelodi Sundowns FC. Not good for Bafana Bafana," says slimtony7.

"What about Grant Kekana, Themba Zwane, Aubrey Modiba? all of them have been grazing for a while in Bafana colours.

"The less said about Ronwen the better. Anything that is being shot at him with precision when in Bafana colours is bound to be a goal," says Football psychology.

"This coach is blind. Maema is better than Mkhulise, the Orlando pirates goalkeeper deserved a call-up given age is still on his side," says mogaleramolotja.
