The transfer movements at Mamelodi Sundowns have left the champions' foreign quota floating on Latino influence.
Sundowns have already handed minutes to Arthur Sales and Lucas Ribeiro Costa (both Brazil), Marcelo Allende (Chile) and Erwin Saavedra (Bolivia), who are the four foreign registered players this season.

The fifth Latino at Sundowns – Matias Esquivel (Argentina) – is out loan at Club Atletico Talleres until the end of the season.
Saavedra was handed 84 minutes in the CAF Champions second leg win against Mbabane Swallows following his return from his loan at Club Bolivar.
The Bolivian international is yet to feature in the Betway Premiership, just like Sales, while Allende and Ribeiro Costa have had minutes.

Last season, Sundowns had Ribeiro Costa, Allende, Junior Mendieta (Argentina), Abubeker Nasir (Ethiopia) and Moroccan defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil.
With the PSL rules now allowing for changes to be made during the January transfer window, Nasir was then de-registered, paving way for Argentine forward Esquivel.
Nasir has since moved to SuperSport United.
The season before, the champions had Boutouil, Allende, Saavedra, Nasir and Gaston Sirino (Uruguay).
Sirino then acquired his South African papers halfway through the season, allowing him to become eligible to play as a non-foreigner.
Of note is the fact that the last time Sundowns had an all-Latino foreign quota was in the 2019/20 season when they had Ricardo Nascimento (Brazil), Sirino, Mauricio Affonso (Uruguay), Jose Ali Meza (Venezuela) and Emiliano Tade (Argentina).
This has been the only occasion that the club has ever had five South Americans registered.

Four Latinos have been registered this season, while the fifth is out on loan.
The other Latinos that have been at Chloorkop in recent years are Leonardo Castro (Colombia), Bryan Aldave (Uruguay), Jorge Acuna (Chile), Vincente Principiano (Argentina), Eduardo Ferreira (Brazil), Jose Torrealba and Rafael Dudamel (both Venezuela).
