Mamelodi Sundowns star Marcelo Allende has revealed some bold predictions for the 2022 World Cup currently underway in Qatar.
Allende joined the Dstv Premiership champions at the start of the season with a huge reputation around him. The Chilean has not disappointed, marking his debut with a goal against Stellenbosch in August and he has not missed a single league match since.
While the premiership has taken a break to make for the Qatar World Cup, the Chilean attacker has tipped South American sides to excel in Qatar.
"The likes of Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay currently possess some of the finest players who are dazzling for their respective teams," the attacker told Mamelodi Sundowns Magazine.
"They have the ability to stop any team in Qatar and I am backing the Copa American sides to win this year's edition."

Argentina has already suffered their first dent in the pursuit of World Cup glory after they fell 2-1 to Saudi Arabia on match day one on Tuesday. The loss meant an end to Argentina's 36-game unbeaten streak.
In Group H, Uruguay will lock horns with South Korea on Thursday afternoon while number one-ranked Brazil will kick start their campaign against Serbia on Thursday evening in a Group G clash.
Meanwhile, Allende will return to competitive football action with Sundowns on 31 December when the Tshwane outfit hosts Orlando Pirates.
