Football legend Mlungisi "Professor" Ngubane says Steve Komphela and Manqoba Mngqithi should be afforded time to fix Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ngubane says it will not be easy for the two coaches to step into Rulani Mokwena's shoes.

Komphela and Mngqithi are currently in Austria with Sundowns and have already lost their two pre-season friendlies against Dynamo Kyiv and SV Sandhausen.
"They are fortunate to be allowed to have a pre-season with the club, it will enable them to introduce whatever they did right before they were removed from the hot seat," Ngubane tells KickOff.
"At the moment, the two coaches are giving a chance to the other players who didn't play much in Mokwena's era.
"The pre-season has come early for these Sundowns players, to be honest. You can tell they are tired. I don't think they rested enough. I'm not surprised by their current performance in the pre-season.
"People must just give Manqoba and Steve a chance, they will get it right if they work together.
"There is something broken there at Sundowns and these two will need to fix it. There might be players who are not happy at all. The coaches might need to fix that.
"So, we cannot advise them not to fix it while it's not broken because there is something that needs fixing there. They lost two cup finals to Orlando Pirates, and they were beaten in the Champions League semi-final.

"If they go into the new season with a relaxed mind, then they will not get it right. Steve and Manqoba will need to match Rulani's record. They are stepping into a big shoe. And nobody knows if the shoe will fit. And it's not going to be easy."
