When the whistle blows for the start for the new season on August 3, Themba Zwane will be celebrating his 35th birthday.
This will be ahead of what will be his last season at Mamelodi Sundowns based on his current contract.
The man affectionately known to many as 'Mshishi' and 'Shikabala' to some is negotiating the last year on his deal, which was an option exercised by the club.

This means for all the reservations which will be raised about his age, he needs to respond by getting the job done on the field to earn an extension.
Zwane has been ticking all the right boxes on the field in contributing towards Sundowns winning trophies in consecutive seasons for the past 10 years.
If the test is about lasting on the field, then his average of near to 2900 minutes every season for a decade cannot be matched by anyone.
In doing this, the veteran midfielder has been going at a pace of just under 40 games per season.
Just last term, Zwane's shift was 41 matches and was the reason why he has been able to play all but one of the last 15 Bafana Bafana games.
His 11th consecutive season at Chloorkop will come with the club aiming to win the new Betway Premiership trophy and the CAF Champions League.

After that, there will be the MTN8, Carling Knockout, Nedbank Cup and the African Football League to win.
Zwane has gone through pre-season in Austria unscathed as he looks to add to the 17 trophies that he has won at Sundowns.
