It could still be the month of July, but Siyabonga Ngezana has already played his fifth match for FSCB this season after putting in a full shift on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League.
Ngezana played 90 minutes as the Romanian champions drew 1-1 at home against Maccabi Tel Aviv to leave their fate in the competition hanging.

Luckily for FCSB, political issues in Israel mean the second leg against Maccabi will not be in Tel Aviv but in neighbouring Hungary at the Bozsik Arena next Wednesday.
Whatever happens in that second qualifying match will not matter in as far as FCSB remaining in Europe is concerned.
Preferably, Ngezana and his team will want to be aggregate winners against Maccabi Tel Aviv and progress to the third qualifying round, where they will play either Irish champions Shamrock Rovers or Sparta Prague from Czech Republic.
After that, there will still be one more qualifying round before the group stages.
Should they come stuck against Maccabi, then FCSB will move to the Europa Champions Path third qualifying round and play the loser of the match between FK Panevezys of Lithuania and Jagiellnia Bialystok from Poland.
Winners of this Europa round move to the Play-Off round, while defeat will mean a step down to the Conference League Champions Path play-off round.

This could possibly leave Ngezana playing all three European club competitions this season.
The 27-year-old defender won the Romanian league title and Super Cup after arriving from Kaizer Chiefs last year.
