The emphatic performances by perennial domestic champions Mamelodi Sundowns have convinced many across the continent to tip Rulani Mokwena's side as overwhelming CAF Champions League favourites.
Sundowns brushed aside Algerian champions CR Belouizdad in the quarter-finals and will now meet Wydad Casablanca in a two-legged semi-final tie to determines who meets either Al Ahly or Esperance in the final.

The Brazilians have scored against every opponent that they have faced from La Passe, Al Hilal, Coton Sport, Al Ahly, and Belouizdad with a tally of 35 goals from 10 matches.
"I think this season Sundowns will win the Champions League because they are the Manchester City of Africa," says Algerian scout Herroug Abdemadjid who has been following the competition with keen interest.
Abdemadjid was speaking to KickOff from Algiers where Sundowns hammered CR Belouizdad.
"They are playing well, playing with speed, suffocating opponents with their varying press, playing with intelligence, playing with character, creating, and scoring goals, and have many options in their attacking schemes.
"You don't have to doubt that they are playing with the desire to win.
"The striker leading their attack Shalulile is top class and there is no doubt about that.

"The only problem is their defence which is not so good.
"However, their attack means their defensive shortfalls are never really exposed because their midfield is also functional, and they don't lose matches.
"I think this is the season for Sundowns.
"I'm here in North Africa but I must give credit where it is due.
"The CAF Champions League trophy will have a team in yellow lifting it without any doubt.
"I hope to see a good final between Sundowns and Al Ahly of Egypt.
"That will be the best final.
"Sundowns is playing the best football in Africa right now, so they are deserving of being crowned the Champions League winners this season.
"They are making the difference and playing at a higher level than all others and it showed when they made light work of our champions here in Algeria who we thought will at least offer some kind of resistance but didn't.

"CRB were playing in a stadium that they are not used to and have a coach (Nabil Kouki) whose tactics were poor on the night.
"He is not a good coach.
"Secondly, they fielded a player (Zakaria Draoui) who had been injured all week yet was surprisingly brought in to start on the match against Sundowns.
"The problem with CRB is that they have had many players in their squad playing non-stop this season from the local league to the Champions League then the national team and CHAN games.
"Last month they had many players injured because of overloading.
"Another problem was that CRB is a team without balance.
"They don't have players that can come from the bench and make a difference.
"The worst thing is that the coach is poor tactically," says Abdemadjid.
