Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe has sent a word of reassurance to Masandawana faithful over the DStv Premiership champions' poor form in their pre-season friendly matches.

Sections of supporters have linked the recent form to the number of changes at Sundowns, including the shock exit of head coach Rulani Mokwena and several key players. The Tshwane giants are also currently believed to be deadlocked in talks for new contracts for key players like Grant Kekana and Teboho Mokoena.
Speaking to journalists shortly after Stanley 'Screamer' Tshabalala's funeral on Thursday, Motsepe assured supporters that there would be no need for concern.
"I think if there is any message I want to give to the Mamelodi Sundowns supporters at this moment, it is the same thing that I always said at the end of a season and every start of a new season, thank you for the support, thank you always for being behind us," he said.
"What's happening here at the club is we are actually in the process of trying to make sure that we are set in the best position possible."
"We're in a process to make sure that this is one of the best seasons we're ever going to have in our history.

"There is a Mohammed Ali quote that says, you train hard so you can fight easy, and if you look at the quality of opponents that we have faced in this pre-season, they're respectfully very strong challenging football clubs.
"And so, the results that we are seeing now are us telling ourselves we have to up the game because of the calibre of opponents we might find ourselves playing in the FIFA Club World Cup, and that's what we are doing.
"We are stressing ourselves right now so that as the season progresses, we are ready. There is no reason to be nervous, not at all."
