Mamelodi Sundowns have provided an official update regarding the injury to veteran campaigner Themba Zwane.
Zwane picked up an Achilles tendon injury during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Congo in Brazzaville on Tuesday last week.

'Mshishi', as he is fondly known in football circles, was later replaced by Patrick Maswanganyi in the first half of the match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
According to The Brazilians head coach Manqoba Mngqithi, the Tembisa-born star will be out of action for between four to six months after successful surgery on Saturday.
"The operation took place (on Friday), and it was very successful," Mngqithi said in response to a KickOff enquiry during the post-match press conference after the Carling Knockout match against Golden Arrows.
"So, are we hoping in four to six months he will be back, but we are very optimistic because he is generally a very fit player and normally comes back quicker than normal, and we know his level of professionalism is second to none. So, we know he will work hard to get back as soon as possible," he continued.

Sundowns hammered Abafana Bes'thende 5-0 in Tshwane on Saturday to march to the Carling Knockout quarter-finals, where they will meet Kaizer Chiefs.
