Matias Esquivel's report card is yet to get the ticks of approval that he has been chasing since completing his loan move back to Argentina.
Esquivel was signed by Mamelodi Sundowns at the beginning of the year from Club Atletico Lanus in a transfer reported to be worth USD2,5 million (approx. R43 million).

His short stay at Chloorkop came up to two goals in 13 appearances.
Considering what was paid for his services, this wasn't the return that both Sundowns and the Argentine had aimed for.
The 25-year-old managed to play 90 minutes only once – which was in the Nedbank Cup against lower division club NB La Masia.
With his fellow Argentine teammate Junior Mendieta also leaving the club for Greece due to game-time-related reasons, Esquivel also packed and headed back home to join Club Atletico Talleres in the Liga Profesional Argentina (top-tier league).
Almost two months later, he has played five games and is yet to score or assist for Talleres, who are second on the standings with 11 games to play in the single round robin league.
None of his appearances have been from start to finish, leaving him with a total of 229 minutes, including the Copa Libertadores.

Esquivel has not featured in Talleres' last two games, which have ended in wins, including the famous victory away at River Plate in front of 85 000 fans at Estadio Mas Monumental on Sunday.
He was also on the bench in the Copa Argentina defeat to Boca Juniors and the first leg of the Copa Libertadores loss to River Plate.
With the Argentine still under contract at Sundowns, what he does on loan remains of interest at Chloorkop, where there remains a foreign spot open for the January transfer window.
