In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Mamelodi Sundowns fan "Long" about his long-standing affair with Masandawana.
Name of supporter?
"Reuben Kekai, popularly known as Long De Lange#Kestrong27, I'm based in Mamelodi, Nellmapius. I'm currently a loafer, I'm unemployed."
Club supported?
"I've been supporting Mamelodi Sundowns since I was young. My uncle was coaching in the old Challies Little League.
"He coached the likes of Khabo Zitha and Themba Mnguni."
How long supported?
"I've been supporting Sundowns since 1988."
Are you happy with the bosses?
"Not 100%. I feel Sundowns should start recognising their supporters like other PSL clubs.
"We need supporters who will be employed by the club as Ambassadors. When at the Stadium some of us don't even watch a game at the Stadium because we are always singing, encouraging my fellow supporters."
Are you happy with the coach?
"I support every coach or player that Sundowns hires. I will never criticise the coach because he knows better than me.
"The coach that is there now you can tell with the players that he is signing that he is building his legacy.
Are you happy with the players?
"I'm happy with everything that we have at the moment. Every player that is there deserves to be there."
Who do you want them to sign?
"Right now Peter Shalulile is alone up front, and Abubbeker Nasir is forever injured.
"We need a number 9 that will compliment Shalulile. I think Khanyisa Mayo can fit nicely but his father wants him to play for Kaizer Chiefs."
Your message to the team?
"I'm 100% behind you. The league is already in the bag, now go for the Caf Champions League."
