Jomo Cosmos became the first GladAfrica Championship side to be relegated this season after failing to secure maximum points against TS Sporting on Saturday afternoon.
Frédéric Nsabiyumva gave Ezenkosi a promising start after opening the scoring after 30 minutes.
That lead did not last too long though after former Maritzburg United striker Mohau Mokate pulled Sporting level just before the halftime break.
However, Cosmos were unable to find a winning goal and had to settle for a point, which confirmed the side's relegation to the third tier with two games left of the campaign.
Ezenkosi will be competing in the ABC Motsepe League from the next campaign, while one more team will suffer a similar fate in the next couple weeks.
