The Mozambican international joined the Clever Boys on a one-year deal after a frustrating season with the Brazilians.
Pelembe was reportedly one of the highest earners in the PSL, but he says game-time had to take preference.
“It is not always about the money; it is about playing and that’s what is happening now and I'm very happy,” he says.
“I'm looking forward to playing more games at Wits. I still have a lot to offer in football I have already showed that. I'm going to give my best for the team and help them achieve their goals this season.”
The 31-year-old is also excited to play alongside Sibusiso Vilakazi, with who he enjoyed a good combination in the 2-1 Absa Premiership win against Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.
“Vilakazi is a great player, and he is also a team player. I can't complain about anything here. Everything is going well and I'm looking forward to having a successful season."
