Kaizer Chiefs left-back Tsepo Masilela not worried about Orlando Pirates

The country's two biggest football clubs will square off in the MTN8 Final on Saturday night at Moses Mabhida Stadium in a Final that is expected to deliver on the hype it has created.

Pirates forwards Kermit Erasmus and Lehlohonolo Majoro have been in fine form for The Bucs providing over half of the 18-goals that Pirates have scored so far this season.

“We know that they (Erasmus and Majoro) are both quality strikers and we know they are dangerous and can score goals. If you look at their attack they have options and a lot of good players that can score goals not only Majoro and Erasmus.

“However, we also have our own attack and we will try and work on our game and see how it goes instead of spending too much time thinking about them,” says Masilela adding that they know how Pirates play.

“We all know that they (Pirates) are more of a possession team. They are good in keeping possession and they like to build from the back and they have speedy wingers who we must be wary of but this will be a new game and every game has its own life so we will see how this one pens out,” he says.

While Pirates goals have mostly come from their strikers Chiefs have had to rely on their midfielders with the midfield quartet of Reneilwe Letsholonyane (6), Mandla Masango (5), George Maluleka (3) and George Lebese (2) providing 16 the bulk of the 19 goals.

That the goals have come from midfield is not a worry for Masilela – who has been in fine form during the early season games.

“It is not a concern at all for us as long as we win our games it is okay. Even if its defenders who score its fine as long as we get all three points or get through to the next round of a cup game then we are happy,” says Masilela.
