The MTN8 quarter-final fixtures, dates and times have been released following confirmation by the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
The clubs that finished in the top eight of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership log are set to clash on the fourth weekend of August 2022 for the 2022 edition of the MTN8.
Last season's competition finalists and league runners-up Cape Town City will take on KZN Premier's Cup finalists AmaZulu at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town at 15:00.
Later that day, the competition debutants 2022 KZN Premier's Cup winners Royal AM will hope to make home ground advantage count when they lock horns with the 2020 MTN8 Cup winners Orlando Pirates at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban at 18:00.
More quarter-final action on Sunday will see another debut as Stellenbosch United host Kaizer Chiefs at Danie Craven Stadium, match kick-off is scheduled for 15:00
Sunday will see a Tshwane derby as defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns meet neighbours Supersport United at the Tuks Stadium, with the game set to kick off at 18:00.
The competition will be played in a knockout format style, leaving only one team standing.
Last season, Mamelodi Sundowns walked away with an R8 million prize after defeating Cape Town City 3-2 on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in normal time.
Kaizer Chiefs remain the successful team in the MTN8 having lifted the coveted trophy 15 times since its inception, but Amakhosi have not touched it since 2014. Cape Town City (2018) SuperSport United (2019), Orlando Pirates (2020) and Mamelodi Sundowns (2021) are some of the recent winners of the competition.
