The PSL confirmed on Thursday afternoon that tickets for the highly-anticipated encounter had gone on sale on Thursday morning.

"Tickets for the 2024/25 MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC are officially SOLD OUT – just under four hours after they were made available to the public.
"Match tickets went on sale at 10h30 on Thursday morning and by 14h05, they were all sold out," a statement by the PSL reads.
Jose Riveiro's men will be aiming to make history by collecting a third consecutive MTN8 trophy after beating Sekhukhune United in the 2022 final and Mamelodi Sundowns in 2023.
They have rarely missed a step this season and continued their good form with a 2-1 scalping of Chippa United on Wednesday.
However, standing between them and history is an equally ambitions, if not stubborn, Stellenbosch outfit that has already tasted silverware after winning their first top-flight trophy last season, the Carling Knockout.

Stellies have already proven their prowess, knocking out Sundowns in the semi-final by winning both the home and away legs by a 1-0 scoreline.
The match, taking place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on 5 October, is expected to welcome just under 60 000 spectators in what will be a full house for the 2010 World Cup venue.
