Having started out his professional career on loan at Ratanang Maholosiane in 1991, where he scored seven goals, Mudau went on to score 172 for Mamelodi Sundowns and ended his career with 179 goals to his name.
He remains The Brazilians' all-time top scorer, with his 110 PSL-era goals putting him only behind Siyabonga Nomvethe (123) since the formation of the Premier Soccer League in August 1996.

The only elephant in Mudau's impressive trophy room would be that he only earned 16 caps for Bafana Bafana despite his unrivalled scoring talent in the domestic game.
Mudau was unlucky to be competing against the likes of Phil Masinga, Mark Williams, Shaun Bartlett and Benni McCarthy for a place in the national team.
