My Dream Team: Pollen Ndlanya

Pollen Ndlanya played for Kaizer Chiefs and then committed the cardinal sin of signing for Orlando Pirates... now let's see who makes his best eleven!

Besides the two Soweto giants, Daveyton-born Ndlanya played for respected clubs throughout his career including Manning Rangers, Bursaspor, Goztepe and AmaZulu.

'Trompies' recently explained why he was comfortable signing for The Buccaneers when he returned from Turkey in 2000 despite scoring a winning penalty for Amakhosi in the 1998 Rothmans Cup final just two years prior.

Ndlanya scored 21 league goals in 26 starts as Chiefs ended second in the 18-team 1998/99 Castle Premiership campaign, and went on to score 29 goals in 37 starts in all competitions that season. 

He later scored 15 goals in 23 league starts to help Pirates win the 2000/01 league title. Now the 50-year-old selects the 11 best players he shared the field with during his impressive career.
