Agent: “He’s not going back to Pirates”

Nkanyiso Zungu's agent, Mike Makaab has revealed that the midfielder will not be returning to parent-cub Orlando Pirates following the shock end of his loan spell at Richards Bay.

Zungu's season-long loan with the Natal Richards came to an abrupt end when the club decided to terminate the agreement. While uniformed by neither club nor player, multiple reports have suggested that the termination was  result of off-field issues.

Makaab has revealed that the 27-year-old will not be going back to Rand Stadium but maintained his support for the midfielder to make a strong comeback.

"He's not going back to Pirates, his contract with Pirates has come to an end, they had an option to extend his contract, which they haven't exercised, so in June- the end of June, Nkanyiso [Zungu] will become a free agent," Makaab said on Gagasi Extra Time.

"As I said, the most important thing for us is to give him the right sort of support and  advice and for his family and his close friends to do exactly the same, to give him the right support and the right advice because he is a super talented player.

"He's just got to get his personal issues under control, and If he does, I still believe in the young man and I think he's got so much to prove."

Zungu made 12 appearances from Richards Bay and had not featured fort the KwaZulu-Natal side since the start of February, prior to his release.
