BCM Stars explain Chippa United relationship after Morgan Mammila and Tshepo Motsoeneng join

Two weeks ago BCM Stars roped in Morgan Mammila and Tshepo Motsoeneng onto their management team.

Mammila, who was working as an advisor at DStv Premiership club Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila up until recently, is now the Stars CEO while former Bizana Pondo Chiefs head coach Motsoeneng is now leading the technical team on the pitch.

Stars, who campaign in the ABC Motsepe League, had always been known as Peacemakers FC.

Chilli Boys team manager Wandisile Mbenguzana explains to snl24.com/kickoff what the partnership is all about.

"BCM has been there for years, it's just that we changed the name from Peacemakers, it was Peacemakers before," Mbenguzana says.

"We changed the name because of the relationship we have with BCM municipality [Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality]. It's not under Chippa [as reported in the media], it has never been under Chippa.

"I own the club. I'm the owner of the club. It's just that because I'm working for Chippa, people always assume. So if I see a good player is going to help me, I take it. We'll do like any clubs do if there's a need.

"There are many players playing at Chippa now who are from BCM. Like Akhona Manqola was playing for Peacemakers, Avela Cezu was playing for Peacemakers, Xolani Mahola used to play for Chippa and is now at TS Galaxy. Gregory Damons used to play for Peacemakers."
