According to the organizers, voting to determine the four teams to play will close on Sunday, October 2.

Then on Monday, the top four teams will be announced with voting not being made public until then.

The one-day spectacle will take place on November 12 at the FNB Stadium with the first meeting second in one semi-final while the other will pit the club with the third most votes against the fourth and on the evidence of what has happened Kaizer Chiefs will meet Orlando Pirates to decide who goes to the final.

Since voting began Chiefs have led as expected considering that they have the biggest following in the country.

From the last update issued they were nearing the 300 000 and are just as good as confirmed that they will have the most votes.

Arthur Zwane will be keen to have a feel of silverware regardless of whatever way it comes to quench the thirst and at least raise hopes that trophies will be delivered to Naturena under him.

Their Soweto rivals – Pirates – have also kept their place in second and will be guaranteed of playing in the competition which will be a first for their coach Jose Riveiro.

Third place has been in the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns who will be keen to make an impression in their debut appearance.

With first, second, and third looking secured it is matters related to fourth place that will be of interest.

Based on the voting patterns it could either be Swallows or AmaZulu though Royal AM could pull up a late sprint.

After Monday, voting will then switch to team selections and captains on the day with Itumeleng Khune expected to keep his place as the most popular player.
