Kaizer Chiefs' five-game unbeaten run in the DStv Premiership came to an end after losing 1-0 to Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon.
Chiefs recalled Dillon Solomons and midfielder Cole Alexander, while on-loan Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sammy Seabi was among the changes for Babina Noko.
Seabi made an impact four minutes in when he latched on the end of a loose ball in the attacking area and slotted into the roof of the net as the Amakhosi failed to clear their lines.
Babina Noko got a few chances to extend their lead minutes later through a move outside the danger area, but forward Vusimuzi Mncube nestled the resultant effort over the top of target.
Chiefs still enjoyed the majority of possession despite trailing and could've drawn level on the half-hour mark when Yusuf Maart volleyed over from inside the area following Keagan Dolly's delivery.
The Glamour Boys remained in the thick of things before the close of the first half, but struggled to breakdown their counterparts and trailed at the interval.
Arthur Zwane's men came out for the second half desperately looking for the equaliser, but struggled to get through the lines of the host defensive block.
Sekhukhune looked to double their tally and were close with a fierce first-time shot outside the area by Mncube, but Brandon Peterson produced a remarkable stop.
As the pace of the match continued to intensify, the Glamour Boys and made two changes in Mduduzi Shabalala ahead of Alexander and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana replaced Dolly.
Chiefs began to camp in the half of the host ahead of the final whistle and efforts from all angles by Bimenyimana, Christian Saile Basombouli and Samkelo Zwane came flying in.
In the end, the Amakhosi continued to find the going tough in the final third and succumbed to a narrow defeat as Babina Noko completed the league double over their Soweto counterparts.
