The 28-year-old previously spent five and a half seasons with fellow DStv Premiership side Cape Town City where he made no fewer than 107 appearances, winning the MTN 8 along the way.
Dove follows in the footsteps of a host of his countrymen who starred in the South African top-flight, including the former Chiefs duo of Josias "Jose" Macamo and Mateus Joaquim Manjate, the latter of whom represented the club in the late 1980s.
Josias 'Mr. Letter' Macamo
Macamo, nicknamed Mr Letter in reference to his famous goal celebrations, joined Kaizer Chiefs from Mozambican giants Costa do Sol in 2001 and went on to win the BP Top 8 Cup, Coca Coca Cup and CAF African Cup Winners' Cup in his first season with the club.
He later joined Dynamos in 2003 and also spent time with City Pillars and Moroka Swallows before returning home to Costa do Sol n 2007, where he has since taken up coaching.
Manuel 'Tico-Tico' Bucane
Arguably the greatest foreigner to have ever graced the PSL, Tico Tico is a bona fide legend after scoring 104 goals in the South African top-flight for Jomo Cosmos, where he enjoyed three spells, SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United. The PSL ranks him as the league's third-leading goalscorer of all time.
Elias 'Domingues' Pelembe
Pelembe arrived in South Africa from Desportivo Maputo in 2007 when he joined SuperSport United and won the league and PSL Player of the Season award in his maiden season with Matsatsantsa.
He added another league title to his name before going on to win two more with Mamelodi Sundowns and later spent time with Bidvest Wits and in the second tier with Polokwane City. At 38, he is back in the PSL where he currently plies his trade with high-flying Royal AM.
Tomas Inguana
Former Mozambique international Tomas Inguana made his biggest impact in South Africa with Orlando Pirates where he won two league titles with the Buccaneers on either side of a loan spell with AmaZulu. He later had a stint with Bidvest Wits before retiring in 2006.
Helder 'Mano Mano' Muianga
Another defender who featured in the Premiership was Helder Muianga, who enjoyed a well-travelled journey through the PSL during the 2000s. The former Costa do Sol started out with Manning Rangers in 1999 where he spent three seasons before being snapped up by Black Leopards.
He later joined Dynamos FC before briefly returning to Manning Rangers, following which he ended his career at Jomo Cosmos after a stint in Hungary.
Nuro Tualibudane
Cosmos was a popular destination for Mozambican stars and fan favourite Nuro Tualibudane was one of the best to represent the club. The prolific striker scored 25 goals in 62 starts across two separate spells with the club.
Hélder Pelembe, Jeitoso, Pinto Barros, Dário Monteiro, Almiro Lobo, Manuel Kambala, Luís Miquissone, Francisco Muchanga, Nando, Paulito, Maurício Pequenino, Telinho and Tó are among the other Mozambicans to have played in the PSL.
