Jomo Sono feels sorry for relegated Moroka Swallows

Cosmos beat Swallows 1-0 at the Dobsonville Stadium to ensure their promotion to South Africa's top flight after a three year absence.

Sono says he feels horrible for the club whose suporters were behind him when recieved his football ban in 1996.

"I want to be honest; I've got two feelings: the first is of being happy for my team, the second is about Moroka Swallows Football Club [being relegated]," says Sono.

"When I was expelled from football in 1996, these are the fans who supported me, that I needed to come back to football.

"I have divided feelings today, to see a great team like Swallows going to [the First Division].

"It's not easy at all, but hope they come back quickly because we need teams like Swallows and AmaZulu in our league."

Ezenkosi last featured in the Absa Premiership in 2011/12 after finishing last on the log, and have taken three seasons to regain promotion.

Sono also offered the club some valuable advice in their quest to regain their PSL status in the near future.

"[Swallows] must try and vote to change the under-23 rule.

"Because for them coming with all their top professionals [to the First Division], I can tell you now they don't have under-23's so it will be difficult for them.

"It's going to take them two years to groom under-23 players; it's hell there [in the lower division]," adds 'Bra J'.
