No SA return as Billiat signs for new club

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Khama Billiat is set to continue plying his trade in Zimbabwe after being unveiled by Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newcomers  Scottland FC in Harare.

Billiat has joined Scottland as a free agent after his contract with Yadah FC expired at the end of last month.

The former Amakhosi midfielder has made a huge impression since returning to Zimbabwe last year where he scored  13 goals and made 11 assists for Yadah FC and was voted the second-best player in the league the past season.

Billiat has also returned to the Zimbabwe national team and made a remarkable contribution to help the Warriors qualify for the TotalkEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco at the end of this year.

Billiat was linked with a return to the Betway Premiership this year before signing with Scottland FC, who are set to make their maiden appearance in the Premier League in Zimbabwe.

Scottland is owned by a billionaire, Pedzai Sakupwanya who is also a Member of Parliament in Zimbabwe.

Billiat is set to become one of the highest-paid players in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
