Mkhabela caught the eye at Platinum Stars, whom he joined in 2011, before enjoying a three-year spell at SuperSport United.

Whose locker room are we in today?
"We're in Kaizer Chiefs' locker room. It was like any other team's dressing room. We sang, some received massages, and we had players like Siphiwe Tshabalala, Erick Mathoho, Tsepo Masilela, and Itumeleng Khune."
Who was always late?
"Joseph Molangoane. One day, he would say he had a flat tyre, and the next day he would claim that there was no electricity in his area, so the gate couldn't open. He had many excuses."
Any interesting rituals before games?
"At Chiefs? Not that I can recall. However, at my previous team, SuperSport, Mame Niang would bring a blanket to the change room, kneel on it, and say his Muslim prayers."
Who was the jokester?
"George Maluleka. He could imitate everyone's voice and was always a mood changer."
Was it a muti locker room?
"I have never seen any muti with my own eyes at Chiefs. Maybe they were doing it on the side, who knows?"
Who was the singer?
"Maluleka. He started almost all our songs."
Who was the best- and worst-dressed?
"We had several well-dressed players, including Bernard Parker, Masilela, and George Lebese, but Siyanda Xulu was the best of them all. Whenever he entered the dressing room, the scent of his cologne would take over.
"You could tell he had a different style; it was evident he had spent time in Europe.

"On the other hand, the worst-dressed would be 'Tower' Mathoho. He would buy any clothing label he came across - whether it was Gucci or Louis Vuitton - without caring about people's opinions."
Who never showered?
"There were quite a few, including Masilela, who would often say, 'I will shower at home, not here. You guys want to bewitch me?'"
Which Chiefs coach gave you the best team talk?
"Steve Komphela. That guy is multilingual - he explains everything in every language."
