Myeni refusing to call it a day

At 33-years-old, the winger insists his love for the game is driving his motivation to find a new club after a spell as a free agent.

"It's because I love the game of football," Myeni tells KickOff.

"I still play indoor soccer and tournaments as I love the game of football.

"If a team were interested in tapping into my knowledge as a coach I would be interested as football is what I know.

"I have not yet retired, I even sold my SAB club, as I needed a break from football and I was struggling in terms of paying players and sponsors.

"I only had players from one area, Ennerdale, I've had the team for almost eight to nine years if I'm not mistaken.

"Financially it was taking a strain and competing against teams like Stars of Africa, Pirates, you are bound to fight relegation every season.

"The guys that I sold the team to want me to help them in terms of coaching.

"That I haven't retired people they know, I haven't spoken to any team or any coaches asking for a trial, nothing.

"It's no longer something that is stressing me or anything in a way though, if it happens it happens if it doesn't it's still okay with me.

"As you know in our country there's always the age factor, it does not matter how good you are.

"Look at Rooi Mahamutsa, he is turning 41 in October but he is doing well at TS Sporting.

"Overseas Cristiano Ronaldo is playing, let's not force players to retire."
