University of Pretoria and Swallows FC settled for a share of the spoils in their promotion/relegation play-off clash on Saturday afternoon.
The Dube Birds made two changes in Ruzaigh Gamildien and Spheshile Mbhele from the late win over Cape Town All Stars in midweek, while Malesela Chokoe came in as the sole change for the visiting AmaTuks.
A firing start was on the cards for the host two minutes on the clock, but Thabang Sibanyoni's back-post header following a pin-point free-kick missed target completely.
Then a three-touch move from the back a little into the first period brought another opening for Sibanyoni which he volleyed wide at the first time of asking.
The opportunities still followed Sibanyoni just after the half-hour mark as he snapped a delicate dink into space wide of the near corner following a smart off-the-ball run.

Lehlogonolo Matlou replaced Grant Margeman and Kamohelo Mahlatsi slotted in for the services of Mbhele, as the Dube Birds attempted a control on proceedings.
It almost filtered through minutes apart when Dillon Solomons charged in at the back-post of the area and forced a close-range save from Thakasani Mbanjwa through a snap attempt.
Swallows should've been ahead over the remaining 10 minutes off a ball through the middle by substitute Joseph Mhlongo, but Mahlatsi fluffed the inviting opportunity.
AmaTuks staged a succession of late chances through amongst others Wonderboy Makhubu, Sanele Barns and Samuel Julies but neither profited.
Swallows could've had victory in additional time after Keletso Makgalwa's low shot in the box hit the post before Etoisa Ighodaro's looping header at the other end missed target as it finished goalless.
