snl24.com/kickoff has established that two former Kaizer Chiefs players at Swallows FC have gone through contrasting fortunes at the club with one leaving while the other has stayed on.
As earlier reported by this publication, Keegan Ritchie will not be continuing with his stay at Swallows FC after battling his way to just four appearances last season.
The 31-year-old confirms that he is now without a club and says he is uncertain what the future holds for him at present.
"To be honest, at the moment, nothing yet," he says, regarding his next move.
Ritchie arrived at Swallows at the beginning of last season after spending the previous season at Bidvest Wits, where he joined at the beginning of 2018 from SuperSport United.
The left-back completed his five-year at Chiefs after signing from then Moroka Swallows in 2011, but went out on loan to Slavia Prague in Czech Republic and Bloemfontein Celtic in 2013/14 and 2014/15 respectively.
Meanwhile, George Lebese is still training with the club in the hope of winning a contract.
Lebese has now spent close to a fortnight sweating it out with the Dube Birds, who have been switching between Sturrock Park and Randburg FC in recent days.
The 32-year-old last played competitive football last year at US club Colorado Springs Switchbacks.
For all his abilities and experience playing for Chiefs, Mamelod Sundowns and SuperSport United, it seems he will have to dig deep to win a contract, as was the case with former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo.
Ntshumayelo trained with Swallows for almost half a year before he was handed a contract.
