Moloi: Lesotho is going to be a tall order to climb

The game against their Lesotho is not expected to be an easy one for the strong-looking Bafana Bafana squad in Friday's Group C World Cup qualifier, according to Orlando Pirates legend Tebogo Moloi.

Moloi, who is well-respected in Lesotho, especially at his former club Linare FC, understands the intricacies of football in that country.

Bafana Bafana will host Lesotho at Peter Mokaba Stadium, where they are anticipated to secure three points easily.

"Lesotho has improved; they have good individual players, but what they lack is teamwork, and that's what I've been emphasizing to them," Moloi told KickOff.

"Individually, there are a few players who can pose a challenge as opponents. So, this won't be a walkover for South Africa, but I believe we will get the three points.

"Given the current form of our players, things look promising for us. Our players now understand what it means to represent their country through the national team.

"With Helman Mkhalele as our assistant coach, who has performed well in the Bafana colors, we are in good hands.

"However, I still think facing Lesotho will be a significant challenge. Lesotho will not approach Peter Mokaba Stadium like sheep to the slaughter, but they will put up a good fight."

The match kicks off at 18:00.
