Tau: We are still growing as a team

Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau is looking to build on the performance in the win over Morocco on Saturday evening.

The South Africans ended their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a 2-1 victory over the Atlas Lions.

The victory took Bafana top of Group K although Morocco still have one more game to play, but the Al Ahly star says the display was very encouraging.

"I think we're growing as a team, there's good progress and we can also show people that we're able to play at the highest level and I only want to build from this performance," Tau told SuperSport TV.

"We still have more in ourselves to do more and we'll improve on that."

The two-time CAF Champions League winner also expressed his delight with the number of supporters at the FNB Stadium.

"We're happy we played here and we got the numbers with the fans, we're so grateful that they came out, they gave us a good atmosphere, we enjoyed it, I'm proud that we're here and we won," he said.

When asked about being back to full fitness, he added, "I'm happy to be fully fit and I can only build on my performance. I still want to grow."
