The month of May is promising further joy for Siyabonga Ngezana with the destiny of the Romanian league title now in his club’s hands for the second year in a row.
Ngezana put in a clean shift of 90 minutes again as his club FCSB won 2-1 away at Rapid Bucuresti.

That victory, coupled with second-placed Universitatea Craiova suffering defeat at Universitatea Cluj a day before, stretched FCSB’s lead at the top to six points with four games to play.
This leaves them in need of a maximum of seven points from four games to wrap up their 28th league title and safely keep their place as the most successful Romanian club.
FCSB – who have 42 points – have won four and drawn two in the Championship Play-Offs round and have Dinamo Bucuresti in their next game on Monday.
Winning the league will give the side a ticket to next season’s UEFA Champions League qualifiers, where they played this season before ultimately dropping to the Europa League, where they reached the Last 16.

Ngezana has played every minute of the last five matches and has now reached an impressive 70 appearances for the club.
The 27-year-old won the league with FCSB in his first season and then added the Romanian Super Cup in July, pushing him to two winners’ medals within a year after failing to land any while with Amakhosi, where he spent seven years in the first team.
