Zungu, 27, has been linked with a move to LaLiga in the past with Espanyol having several bids rejected from Amiens back in 2018.
However, the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder appears to be closing in on the switch to the Spanish top-flight after two and half seasons in France.
Spanish television station IB3 caught his arrival at the Palma de Mallorca airport on Thursday evening and reported that a deal has been reached.
It's believed the two clubs have agreed on a €500 000 (R8 million) six-month loan fee with an option to make the deal permanent for €5m (R80m) at the end of the season.
However, according to reports in France24, Amiens have informed Zungu and Mallorca that they will need to find a replacement before the transfer deadline tonight.
