Bongani Zungu has issued a public apology to Rangers' supporters after breaking Covid-19 regulations earlier this month.
Zungu was one of five Rangers players who found themselves in trouble with the authorities last week after the group was caught attending a house party in contravention of the Scottish regulations on Covid-19.
The Bafana Bafana midfielder was subsequently removed from the squad in order to self-isolate and has faced a backlash of criticism from former players and pundits alike, with some accusing the 28-year-old of being a bad influence on the four younger players.

Zungu, who is on loan from Ligue 2 side Amiens, has now broken his silence on the matter and issued a public apology to the club's supporters, asking them to forgive him and rally behind the team as they charge towards the Scottish Premiership title.
"I'd like to apologise to the Rangers fans," he told RangersTV, per GlasgowLive. "It's been a great season so far for the club and my message is I'd like to apologise and hope the fans can continue to support us and we can put this behind us and focus on the future."
Nathan Patterson (19) and Calvin Bassey (21), who were among the other players implicated, have also issued public apologies.
